Film Reflection 26/8

IB Learner Profiles- How can I/we be them in Film?

Inquirers - We can be inquirers in film by developing a natural curiosity to learn more about films, or even just a particular film or genre that we are interested in, and to then go off and do independent research.

Knowledgeable - We can watch and research about a broad range of films, from watching documentaries to researching how directors like Steven Spielberg made some of his films, we can be more knowledgeable.

Thinkers - We should be thinkers all the time, but one good way to be a thinker is by facing problems and thinking things through before asking for help.

Communicators - We can be communicators by conveying messages to our audience through our film, and also by simply talking to our peers in film class.

Principled - We should be principled, in and outside of Film, by taking responsibility for our mistakes and follow all the rules.

Open-minded - We can be open-minded by listening to the ideas of our peers and different possibilities in Film, even though they may clash with your own thoughts.

Caring - We can be caring to one another in Film class by thinking of their feelings. For example, we shouldn't be harsh and criticize someones idea, but think about how they would feel if you did.

Risk-takers - We can be risk-takers in Film class by taking risks and trying out new ideas that we could potentially use in our films.

Balanced - While working on our Films, we shouldn't goof off, or just work. We should be balanced during this course and have fun while working hard.

Reflective - We should be reflective all the time. We can do this by writing a reflection after every lesson and also maybe personally reflect on your work.
