Today we recorded the over voices for our film whilst still editing. At first me and Tiara went to record each others over voices in one of the music practice rooms, leaving Rachel and Yasmine to edit. At first we took a few takes and then went back to upload them but found that there was no sound, so then we went back again to re-record our voices, thought this time we didn't use the microphone and even pointed the camera to view our mouths as we talked so that we could make sure there was sound when there was supposed to. We also took this opportunity to improve our over voices, making sure each was quick enough to use in the short cut it would be used in. We then brought in Yasmine to also record her over voice of when she is hurt by the light. We uploaded the new cuts and we happy it worked, though it was found in the end we hadn't set up the boom mic properly. We then found good cuts and put them in.
Looking at the end which we had also watched with Ms Wong, we found we could really improved our ending with something simple. I managed to come up with the idea that maybe we could have a short scene of what happens when Yasmine's character Nightshadow wakes up, which could be a jail. So we thought of the idea of a jailer (Rachel) trying to wake Nightshadow up to interrrogate her, in which Nightshadow is still feeling weak and can't get a sense of her surroundings so she asks where she is, and the jailer replying the she's in jail. We then recorded this and uploaded and editted it as well. But at the end of that we realised something was wrong and that for some reason some of the clips were missing from the beggining and bits were repeated. Me and Tiara agreed on coming in after school one day and fixing this.
Today I was a communicator and a thinker, and I was being open-minded.
