Film reflection
Today we were starting our storyboard. I think that we were thinkers and communicators as we thought of how we could shoot the scenes and what it would look like and shared our ideas with one another. When doing our story board we started to think of locations, mise en scene and different ideas of how and when we would do these shots (as a lot of our scenes are in the evening and out of school). In doing so we had to be open-minded about each others ideas, though we did have disagreements.
I found storyboarding really helpful as it not only helped us with planning what angles and distances we were going to use, but it really helped with thinking about locations. Though i like how it helps you think of what mise en scene you'll need and how the actor has to position his or herself for the scene.
Also we started to be really open-minded and started thinking of establishing shots, and decided to add a few in to show it takes place in a city (Hong Kong) and it helps to emphisized the fact that me and Tiara's superheroes are on night patrol. We plan to go to places like IFC, Times Square and TST.
We didn't get much of the storyboard done today and we need to edit our "ending" of our movie, because we left it too open and need a more definitive and concluding ending. But i think that we are going to be able to get back on track and work well.
